PLANTATION

The Group currently operates a plantation landbank of approximately 8,774 hectares of which 93% of the Group's total planted hectarage are matured palms above the aged of four years old palms, whilst the remaining 7% are immature palms planted for less than four years. the oil palms normally reach their peak in terms of yield and oil extraction rate at the age of between seven to fifteen years old. It is expected that in view of the progressive maturity of the plantations, it will pave the way for higher growth when most of the trees reach maturity.

MILLING

The Group has two palm oil processing mills which have a combined production capacity of 120 tonnes of FBB per hour, all of which are located in the state of Sabah. The palm oil processing mills owned by the Group are located at Kilometer 87, Sandakan-Lahad Datu Highway, Segaliud Lokan in the district of Kinabatangan ("SROPP mill") and at Kilometer 70, Sandakan-Telupid-Kota Kinabalu Highway in the district of Labuk-Sugut ("Berkat mill"). Both mills are currently operating at a processing capacity of 60 tonnes of FFB per hour.

FISHERY - Better Prospects Sdn Bhd

The primary business activity of Better Prospects Sdn Bhd is aquaculture which comprises of hatchery operation and fish farming with its core end products of marine life fish and chilled fish.

As part of the Group's strategic expension and diversification plans, the Group acquired 100% equity interests in the Berjaya Resort (Sabah) Sdn Bhd in 2007 that owns th Palace Hotel. The 160 rooms, 3 star hotel is located at No. 1 Jalan Tangki, Karamusing , Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The hotel is strategically located in the city of Kota Kinabalu which takes only 15 minutes drive from the KK International Airport, and 5 minutes drive from town, adjacent to one of the hot stop Karamunsing shopping complex.
